A little energy buzz for exams, performances or sporting events is a good thing! This extra energy keeps your mind laser focussed and your body ready to move. When this energy buzz becomes an electric shock it can be too much and the mind and body shut down or crumble into anger, disappointment or fear that sticks around. With mounting pressure to perform at school and the constant social connection that technology affords, the life of an adolescent has become less easy to move through.

beChill was developed by Annette Ebbinghaus in 2008 and it is largely based in the practice of Sophrology (What is Sophrology?). This particular practice develops self awareness and leadership through mastering the ongoings of the mind. Motivations, goals and desires can then be achieved in a balanced and confident manner. Techniques include body movements to bridge the brain-body connection, stilling exercises to notice the body, and visualizations to form new neural pathways in the brain.

Participants will discover up to 10 different techniques that I guarantee will transform their approach to life and exams to something more productive, pleasant and balanced.

Individual Sessions

Bespoke individual sessions are tailored to meet the specific needs of the adolescent to help them reset their mental frame of mind for both exams and their approach to life in general. Needs may include: Issues with concentration, sleep disturbances, self-esteem, anxiety of any sort, low moods, strong emotions due to family or social situations, physical symptoms such as headaches, stomach aches, nervous tics, etc.

Session 1:
1.5 hours. In this first session together, your child and I discuss their goals and clarify responses to the questionnaire. The initial techniques I will use are from Sophrology and include breath work.

We will work together on specific issues where I will choose from the various techniques I am certified in. The techniques I will use depend on the nature of your adolescent and which tools are most effective for them.

Each session will include home practice with recordings and other supporting materials.
