As a wellbeing professional who has worked in schools since 2009, I know that many schools face these challenges. You are not alone!
Our vision at trulyBalance is to inspire a generation of young individuals by empowering them to explore their true potential, develop resilience, and cultivate unwavering self-confidence. Through a combination of sophrology, mindfulness, coherence breathwork, positive psychology, personalized coaching, and empowering programs, we strive to equip young people with the tools and strategies to overcome anxiety, recognize their innate abilities, and develop sustainable healthy habits and thoughts.
Trends show increased levels of anxiety, depression, self-doubt and self-harm in today’s adolescents. Students are sleeping less, they are surrounded by digitally-based and other addictive products, and are experiencing identity and acceptance issues.
Teachers support their students through encouragement and building trusting relationships. The main problem is that teachers are “one too many” in the classroom. It is no wonder that teachers feel overwhelmed and not able to cater to the wellbeing needs of most students.
Student performance and resilience is directly related to their wellbeing and mental health – this is where we can help!
Teaching young people how to be self-confident, optimistic, and able to self-regulate are at the heart of the beChill® programs.
“Let us help YOU implement your successful
Whole School Approach to wellbeing and student performance!”
beChill® Exams and beChill® Life are programs of excellence for students ages 12 to 18.
These programs are based in the practice of Sophrology and include concepts from neural-linguistic programming, positive psychology, mindfulness, quantum theory, neuroscience, social-emotional-learning principles, and cognitive behaviour therapy, each presented in a user-friendly age-appropriate manner.
beChill® Exams is the main program which is centred around performance-based stress, doubts and habits. It includes 6 to 12 sessions, depending on the length of each session. Concepts and techniques familiarise participants with the brain, the sub-conscious mind, and the nervous system. Techniques improve confidence, sleep, concentration, emotional self-control, self-awareness and building of supportive habits.
beChill ® Life is a longer program which includes up to 35 sessions that can be delivered across one to three school years. This program includes a deeper exploration of the concepts of beChill® exams and additional wellbeing concepts. It includes self-leadership skills, working with intention, practices to build optimism, and a deeper level of self-awareness.
The beChill programs:
Each practice consists of:
beChill® Supporting App (Membership site)
All students have access to the beChill membership site which encourages daily practice of the techniques through the collection of weekly “Chill points” and cumulative “Chill factor” points. A number of weekly and total points are recommended. This encourages students to practice regularly, which has a positive impact on the brain through the process of neuroplasticity, leading to new supportive behaviour, cognition and improved wellbeing.
Techniques are progressively added to the App following each class. The App is GDPR compliant with minimal student information needed.
